The Food Bank of Waterloo Region is at the centre of the Community Food Assistance Network, actively sourcing fresh, frozen and non-perishable food for distribution. Because of this network, people have access to food assistance when they need it no matter where they live in the region. Last year alone, 40,530 individuals were served.
To help support the Foodbank of Waterloo Region and the Community Food Assistance Network, we host an annual Food and Fund Drive. Helping neighbours in need is a community effort and this is just one small way we can help those in need in the region.

This has been a long-standing tradition at Polocorp and with the support of our colleagues, partners and friends, we have raised over $30,000 (68,000 meals) for the Foodbank over the years.
This past holiday season we are proud to report that we raised another $4000/8000 meals for our community!
We encourage those who can, to support the Foodbank year-round. They are always in need of non-perishable items for their programs. Food items are a top priority, but did you know the Foodbank also accepts the following items?
- sealed personal care products.
- hygiene products
- cleaning supplies and laundry detergent
- diapers and formula
Food items that are in high need are:
- individually packaged snacks (granola bars, apple sauce, pudding cups)
- dry beans
- juice boxes
- canned fruit, meat, and fish
- rice
All the above items can be brought to a contactless drop-off at 50 Alpine Court, Kitchener.
We want to send a big thank you to our partners and friends who helped us raise the funds and food this year and over the past years to help feed our community. We couldn’t have done it without your support!
