Polocorp has a long history of over 40 years’ service in the Region of Waterloo as well as other communities in Southwestern Ontario. Paul and Louise Puopolo, the founders of Polocorp, have deep roots in the community, whether it be through their planning firm Planning & Engineering Initiatives Ltd., their various philanthropic ventures, their volunteer work with the community, such as Big Sisters, Rotary, the Food Bank, Kidsability, or through Polocorp itself.
Polocorp has been in its history, primarily a land development company, that has created notable communities such as upper Beechwood, Pioneer Tower and Vista Hills to name a few.
Polocorp’s future has never been more exciting than it is right now, with new infill properties such as the recently completed Barra on Queen Inc. (a condominium development), the recently announced Viva Towns, as well as South Point, a major residential community in Cambridge. We cannot wait to announce the exciting new projects and development opportunities that lay ahead for 2022 and beyond.
Joseph & Michael have been raised alongside the business and have spent over 40 years combined working, learning and growing under the guidance of both Paul & Louise in Polocorp. Up until recently, Joseph was the Chief Marketing Officer of Polocorp, in charge of the marketing/branding of Polocorp as well as some key projects. Michael was the Chief Operating Officer of Polocorp, in charge of land acquisitions, HR and some key projects as well.
It is with great pride that Paul and Louise, will be stepping aside to let their two boys, Joseph & Michael, take the business to new heights. Paul will remain as a Chairman and Senior Counsellor, to further guide Joseph & Michael as this transition period occurs. It is the end of an era, but Paul & Louise have the utmost confidence that the Polocorp brand and the Puopolo family legacy will be enhanced in the coming years with Joseph & Michael and the exceptional Polocorp team at the helm.
Effective January 1, 2022, Joseph and Michael will be co-CEO’s within Polocorp.
