Polocorp Inc is looking for an Planner with 4 – 6 years experience to join our office in Kitchener. With projects throughout Southern Ontario, we are experienced in a range of project types and scales, ranging from high-density infill to low-rise greenfield development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit planning applications such as Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Draft Plans of Subdivision and Condominium, Site Plans, Minor Variances, and Severances
- Manage application process from submission to decision
- Prepare written materials including Planning Justification Reports, letters and other supporting materials
- Contribute to all aspects of planning and design process from early property analysis and visioning through to the preparation of development plans and regulations
- Participate in a broad range of project types including high-density infill to greenfield communities
- Review and provide comment on development concepts, site plans and plans of subdivision
- Liaise with clients, municipal staff and consultants
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subconsultants, in support of planning applications
- Attend and present to Council and Committee meetings
- Undertake policy and regulatory due diligence on prospective properties to identify opportunities and constraints
- Monitor relevant planning policy and legislative changes
Required skills/experience:
- Minimum of 4 – 6 years of related professional experience
- A degree in Urban Planning or related field from an accredited university or college
- Full Membership in OPPI/CIP required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Some graphic communication skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as online meeting applications such as Teams and Zoom
- Strong understand of urban planning and urban design theory and practice within Ontario

Office Administrator
Polocorp Inc is looking for an Office Administrator with 2+ years experience to join our office in Kitchener. The role offers a unique opportunity to join a tight-knit, collaborative team of diverse professionals. If you are enthusiastic, self-driven and creative, this position offers tremendous opportunity for growth within a dynamic company with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Under the guidance of the General Manager, the Office Administrator is Polocorp Inc.’s first point of contact for all guests. Specifically, they provide administrative support by answering phones, greeting visitors, preparing meeting rooms, sorting, and distributing mail, among other tasks as needed.
The Office Administrator must be well-organized, communicate effectively, and have good time management skills. Furthermore, they must have excellent customer service skills, be problem solvers, and be able to gracefully assist customers and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the General Manager, covering vacation as needed
- Support in the coordination of schedules and the management of calendars for the Co-CEOs to ensure that activities are properly scheduled and that there are no conflicts
- Assist visitors, directing them to the appropriate area and offering coffee / water when needed
- General administrative tasks such as taking notes, creating meeting agendas & minutes
- Create meeting agendas, take meeting minutes and distribute as needed
- Maintain and organise the filing system, both electronic and hard copies
- Help colleagues with administrative duties
- Answer, forward, and screen calls.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and parcels
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
- Duties may include maintaining social media presence
Qualifcations:
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
- 2+ years of relevant office experience
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Social Media expertise
- Excellent phone skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive
